We are currently buiding our workhorse – a customized two-photon laser scanning microscope largely based on Rosenegger et al. (2014). Scanning mirrors and PMTs will arrive this month so we can hopefully start calcium imaging experiments soon!

Thanks to funding by the DFG the Schnaitmann Lab is starting at the Institute of Development and Neurobiology (iDN) of the University of Mainz. We are neighbours to the labs of Marion Silies, Carlotta Martelli and Joe Urban. Thank you very much for the warm welcome and looking forward to do research in such a fantastic environment!
